University of Montana president finalists haven’t led doctoral institutions

All four finalists for University of Montana president get failing marks in one area.

None has experience leading an institution that grants doctoral degrees, said Rosalyn LaPier, a faculty member in environmental studies.

"I know it’s a concern of a lot of faculty members," LaPier said Tuesday.
