Hunger Solving App Launhes Under the Big Sky – Tangotab Expands to Montana

In 2012, an entrepreneur set out on a mission to solve hunger and feed people-in-need in communities around the United States, just by using an app when dining out.

Helena, MT, August 25, 2017- TangoTab, a Dallas-based smartphone application has announced its expansion into Montana during Hunger Action Month – this September. The company is launching across the state with a tour visiting Billings, Missoula, Bozeman, and Helena to introduce the app, spread awareness on the state’s current hunger epidemic, and bring together community members to make lunches for those in need.

TangoTab’s Founder & CEO, Andre Angel, recently spoke at Innovate Montana Symposium 2017 in Billings, Montana where he shared his experience in entrepreneurship and social impact with innovators from across the state. "We are thrilled to be launching TangoTab in Montana this September," exclaims Andre. "Montana is a place that stays in your heart from the moment you visit. I see infinite opportunity for TangoTab to make a real difference in this community and for us to continue to fight hunger with future growth in the agriculture industry, creating jobs in Montana for Montanans."

Hunger is one of the most significant battles happening in our own backyard. With 1 in 8 Montanan’s facing hunger and approximately 50 million people in the United States going to bed hungry every day, the use of technology to combat this ever-growing hardship allows everyone to easily be a part of the solution.

Using TangoTab is simple: when you eat, they eat. ‘Check in’ to any participating restaurants on the app at no expense and TangoTab will donate to a local food charity, covering the cost of a meal for someone in need. Your community will grow stronger every time you dine out.

"This September we will introduce Montana to an innovative tool to eradicate hunger for our local communities by supporting Montana restaurants," states Julia Bryant, TangoTab’s Montana Director. "To date, TangoTab has fed over 2 Million people; imagine the impact we could have in our state."

TangoTab’s "Feed the City" Montana Tour will take place at local establishments in Billings, Missoula, Bozeman, and Helena where volunteers are asked to bring lunch supplies and a few of their friends. TangoTab has hosted hundreds of "Feed the City" events in cities across the U.S. and thousands of people have been fed because of the community-driven project. It’s a chance to be a part of a great cause amongst fellow Montanans and spread the word that we are done with hunger in our state.
