Montana Governor Steve Bullock named vice chair of National Governors Association

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock http://governor.mt.gov/ was seated as the vice chairman of the National Governors Association last week at its summer meeting in Providence, Rhode Island.

Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval of Nevada is the chairman of the organization for the coming year. Bullock will be seated as chairman next summer.

Bullock hints at presidential run in 2020, forms federal PAC to 'share Montana's story'

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock said Tuesday he is forming a federal political action committee to allow him to travel and be a larger part of the national political conversation.

On Monday evening, the New York Times published a story saying Montana's Democratic governor is taking "the first steps" toward a run for president in 2020.

Tuesday afternoon, Bullock told reporters the PAC will allow him to "share Montana's story."
