Public comment invited for Montana State University reaccreditation

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities is inviting public comment about Montana State University during its seven-year regional accreditation process. MSU is currently accredited by the NWCCU.

Regional accreditation is a voluntary, self‐regulatory process that helps assure a university’s quality and accountability. It also enables students to be eligible to receive federal financial aid and for many of MSU’s programs to receive federal funding. The accreditation of MSU was last reaffirmed by NWCCU in 2010 on the basis of the fall 2009 comprehensive evaluation.

The commission will visit MSU Oct. 16-18 as part of its evaluation of the university.
