West Yellowstone unveils plan to tackle growth, housing
May 19, 2017 /
A plan to direct the future of growth in West Yellowstone has been put to paper.
A draft of the town’s growth policy update — a 60-page "road map for the future" — was released recently by regional planning consultant Land Solutions Montana.
The policy identifies seven issues as priorities for the town: housing affordability and availability, short-term commercial rentals, developing the 80-acre parcel the town purchased from the U.S. Forest Service last year, improving the area’s appearance, water and sewer facilities, as well as updating zoning regulations and diversifying the economy.
