‘No longer a small town:’ Mayor runs down Williston, North Dakota’s accomplishments

Five years ago if you showed up in the emergency room for a hospital visit, you were in for a wait. But today, that has changed. Patients who show up in the emergency have dramatically reduced waiting times, and sometimes no waiting time at all.
That is just one of the many ongoing changes in Williston as it continues to build through surges and downturns in the oil and gas industry.
While some were calling it a bust in Williston, the figures Mayor Howard Klug shared at the city’s first State of the City address, tell a different story, and it is one the mayor believes can have that happily-ever-after ending.
