FVCC's Continuing Education Center caters to lifelong learners by offering a variety of personal enrichment and professional development courses and workshops. There are still spots available in the following spring programs:

Those who serve on the board of directors for a nonprofit organization will benefit from a new workshop series designed to help board members learn best practices for fundraising on behalf of their organizations. "I'm Expected to Fundraise - Help!" will be held on two Thursdays, April 6 and April 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the college. Cost to participate is $65 per person. The series will be taught by Chany Ockert, a Certified Fund Raising Executive and private consultant with more than 16 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations.

Meredith Coopman will teach "Principles of Interior Design" from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evenings at the college from April 6 to 27. Cost to participate is $59 per person. Students will learn about design trends, color theory, concepts of scale and proportion, furniture styles, lighting, fabrics and more. Coopman owns Meredith Coopman Design Studio in Kalispell and holds a bachelor's degree in interior design and a master's degree in architecture. She has more than 16 years of experience working as an interior designer.

Those interested in camping in the backcountry with horses can learn the basics this spring through a course taught by June Burgau, an experienced stock handler and backcountry camper. "Horse Packing and Wildlands Camping" will be held Thursday evenings from April 20 to May 25 at the Northridge Lutheran Church in Kalispell. Students will learn how to pack horses using mantie and modern equipment in this hands-on class. "Leave No Trace" camping skills and wilderness ethics will be emphasized. Cost to participate in the class is $115 per person. Students who enroll and attend all six classes are eligible to receive a $50 scholarship from the Back Country Horsemen http://www.bchmt.org/
