Montana Code Girls Seeks Volunteer Mentors To Support Teams of Girl Coders

If you support our cause, there is no better way than to get involved than though volunteering! We are in need of mentors for our 2017 Technovation Montana teams!

Who are mentors?

Mentors are professionals who feel comfortable supporting teams of girls to participate in the program and helping their teams become leaders. They learn with their teams and help them problem solve, while also supervising girls through their journey.

Mentors can be teachers, parents, community leaders, or professionals.

Mentors do not need to be tech professionals (although it’s great if you do have tech expertise!)

Mentors can work with a local team in-person, or be a virtual mentor to a team anywhere in Montana.

Time Commitment

Mentors can expect to spend about 50 hours over the January – May season. You will help recruit and supervise students and oversee teams as they complete the Technovation curriculum. You will work closely with your Montana Code Girls Chapter Leaders who will assist you. If you are interested in being a Chapter Leader, please email us.

You will also receive the full support from our Montana Code Girls and Big Sky Code Academy staff. We want you and the girls to have a fun experience!
