Rally For Montana's Future Superheroes!, 3/17, Helena, Montana
|March 14, 2017||View for printing|
I am pleased to invite you to the Rally for Montana's Future Superheroes!
This Rally is in support of Representative Kathy Kelker's and my $12 million preschool grant program, House Bill 563 http://laws.leg.mt.gov/legprd/LAW021 ... _SESS=20171 . The Rally will take place Friday, March 17th at 12:00 on the capitol steps. Come join us to show the Montana Legislature it's past time we invest in publicly funded early childhood education. Please visit my Facebook event HERE https://www.facebook.com/events/1937599096474047/ to find out more and receive updates. Costumes, capes, and kids are encouraged to attend.
Children who take part in early childhood education are more likely to graduate high school, less likely to need remediation or special education, and are going to earn more money as adults. Investing in Montana's future superheroes is an investment we can't afford not to make.
If you are unable to make the Rally, I encourage you to send a message of support to the legislators on the House Education Committee http://leg.mt.gov/css/Committees/Ses ... ssionID=111 who will be hearing HB 563 next week. You can send an email to these legislators HERE http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/65th/legwebmessage.asp . Simply select the message be delivered to the House Education Committee legislators for their review. You can also leave a message for the committee with Legislative Services Division at 406-444-4800.
By increasing access to affordable high-quality child care and preschool programs, we are investing in our economic future and supporting hardworking Montana families. These investments will give all Montana families and their children greater opportunities to succeed.
