Cycling advocates weigh in on bill banning bikers from from 2-lane roads in Montana

"It would really make travel across the state impossible if you look at a map it really becomes fairly impossible without doing that," said Saboda.
The bill was commissioned by state representative Barry Usher http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/65th/leg_info.asp?HouseID=0&SessionID=111&LAWSID=17704 , a republican representative from House District 40 an area including Roundup and parts of rural Billings.
Bike Walk Montana said cycling tourism brought $377,000,000 to the state in 2014 and that all of the major cycling tours across the state include routes on two-lane roads, most of which do not have shoulders.
