Rising graduation rates, record enrollment, scholarships: Montana State University ends year on a high note

President Waded Cruzado, speaking to about 35 deans, vice presidents and campus representatives at Wednesday’s University Council meeting, said people often say MSU is growing because it’s strong in STEM fields — science, technology, engineering and math.

That may be, but similar universities in Idaho and Wyoming are facing big challenges, Cruzado said. If MSU’s success were only because of STEM, she asked, why are its arts and business programs growing? Why are graduation and retention rates rising?

The answer, she said, is MSU’s faculty, staff and students, who promote the idea that "You, too, can complete your dreams at Montana State University."
