Plans, directs and m
anages the department responsible for providing GIS products and
services, including the development and maintenance
of GIS programs, applications,
tools, and databases;
manages all aspects of GIS operation including planning, designing,
development, implementation, upgrade, support, and maintenance functions
; serves as
technical lead for GIS
-related requests and queries; supervises GIS Technicians; performs
related work as required. The position reports to the Board of
County Commissioners.
The principal duties of this class are primarily performed in a public office building
environment;
some field work may be required to view and inspect various locations in
the County for GIS mapping purposes.
