Proposal to keep the Energy Technology Program thriving at the University of Montana

The Energy Technology Program at the University of Montana is about to enter its second decade. However, there has been pressure from the University administration to remove it as a degree option.

Despite our 80+ alumni, the majority of whom are working in renewable energy technology and related sectors, over 500 students who have taken our courses, a current three-quarter million dollar National Science Foundation grant in partnership with the Blackfeet Community College and a broad network of academic and industry partners, the Program faces extinction due to the perception that it does not play a critical role in the Montana economy and the future of American industry.
