Reporting to the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (ORED) and located in Boise, ID, the Executive Director for Economic Development (EDED) leads and coordinates the university's state-wide economic development activities through proactive engagement with regional business, communities and economic development organizations.

The EDED - working with the three university center directors, located in Boise, Coeur d'Alene, and Idaho Falls, as well as extension leadership throughout the state - will capitalize on UI's world-class research capabilities and capacities to provide a conduit for resources and opportunities between the regions communities and business and UI faculty, staff & students, leading to increased research opportunities for UI and greater prosperity for the state and region.
