Do you need an intern, an employee, or a project completed in the ‘Data Science’ space?

One of the most talked about aspects of economic development in MEP’s world is workforce. As many of you know, I started working with the University of Montana’s Math, Computer Science, and School of Business to talk about curriculum, internships, employment, and projects that are within the "Data Science" space. One aspect of my job at MEP is bringing the private sector/organizational voice to workforce development. All of the programs that I have listed below want to work with the private sector and with organizations to ensure that what they are teaching is relevant and that students that come out of these programs can stay in Montana to work within this field.

Whether you are a bank, a start-up, a life science company, an advanced manufacturer, own a restaurant or a retail store, run an airport, provide a professional service such as legal, engineering or architectural assistance or work within a governmental or non-profit organization, you need staff who work within the data science realm.

Those staffers are typically part of your IT Department (please share this email with them) and can include:

* Website designer/developer

* App designer

* Network administrator

* Back end coder

* Statistics, machine learning, data mining, and predictive analytics

* They work with and organize your data and can help you make sense of it – use it for marketing purposes

* Graphic/User Interface designer

Paul Gladen, David Firth and I got together and came up with the structure around a form that was designed using Submittable’s incredible tools. If you need an intern, an employee, or you have a project that fits into any of the spaces I mentioned above or you have an additional need in this space, you can now fill out this online form, submit it – it will go directly to me – and I will connect you with the right professor, instructor, class, etc…………….to help meet that need. MEP will be putting this form on our website (soon) as well so you can always find it.
