City Club Missoula takes up medical marijuana, I-182
Medical marijuana shouldn’t be used for menstrual cramps – and one "hit" is comparable to drinking 10 beers, according to a speaker who presented Monday at City Club Missoula.
Some 64 percent of Montana voters said yes to medical marijuana in 2004, but the laws have taken a circuitous path since then. The most recent ballot initiative, I-182, was the topic of two lunch presentations, one in favor of the measure and one against it. Among other things, I-182 would allow doctors to prescribe marijuana for chronic pain or post-traumatic stress disorder.
The event was hosted by City Club Missoula http://www.cityclubmissoula.com/ , which aims to "inform and inspire citizens" on vital issues. At the DoubleTree Hotel event, participants quizzed the speakers on the topic of medical marijuana after their presentations.
