Consultant: Billings should leverage Bozeman air-service success

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Instead of worrying about falling behind Bozeman’s air service, Billings leaders should leverage that success to boost their own airport, a consultant said Wednesday.

Trina Froelich, a Eugene, Ore.-based air service expert from the firm Mead & Hunt, said officials at American Airlines are carefully monitoring the new direct flight from Dallas/Fort Worth to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
