Headframe Spirits’ Kelly Mine Yard Expansion in Butte, Montana Approved Unanimously by Commissioners

Two years ago, Headframe Spirits announced plans to acquire the Kelley Mine Yard on the Butte Hill and, among other things, turn the Superfund site into a manufacturing facility for distilling operations.

When realized, the Butte project would be the largest U.S. distillery operation west of the Mississippi, bringing 50 to 100 jobs to the Mining City and enabling Headframe to produce a barrel of whiskey every seven minutes.
