Billings, Montana wins Outside Magazine’s ‘America’s Best Town of 2016’ competition

n something of a Cinderella finish, No. 16 seed Billings has beat out No. 1 seed Jackson, Wyo., for the title of "America’s Best Town of 2016" according to results from the final round of an online tournament-style voting competition organized by Outside Magazine.

Along the way to the top, Billings beat out Livingston, Mont., Leavenworth, Wash., Boise, Idaho, Bend, Ore., and Ludington, Mich.

In a press release, the Billings Chamber of Commerce’s tourism marketing group Visit Billings wrote "winning a title like this goes far in setting Billings apart from other destinations and showcases we’re not only a great place to visit, but a fantastic city in which to live, work and do business."
