"Developing an Innovation Economy for Spokane and the Inland Northwest"

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

"Developing an Innovation Economy for Spokane and the Inland Northwest" was introduced at the 2003 EDC Annual Meeting on February 13.

The study, published by the Morgan Leigh Group and sponsored by the EDC, SIRTI and INTEC, outlines a strategic action plan for this region to create an Innovation Economy.

Elements introduced within the plan include The Inland Northwest "Triangle of Innovation," a collaborative effort between Spokane, the Tri-Cities and Pullman. Other major components in creating the framework for an Innovation Economy are discussed in detail.
