Ashok Mirpuri, Singapore’s Ambassador To The US, To Speak In Helena, Montana On June 28

The Montana World Affairs Council will host a program featuring Ashok Mirpuri, Singapore’s Ambassador to the United States. The program will be held at the Helena Great Northern Hotel on June 28th from 12:00-1:30pm. The event will feature a discussion with Ambassador Mirpuri and a light lunch.

Ambassador Ashok Mirpuri is a career diplomat, joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1984 before becoming the Director of Policy Planning and Analysis Directorate 1. He began his first ambassadorship serving as the high commissioner to Australia from 2000-2002 and then as the high commissioner to Malaysia from 2002-2006. After that, he served as ambassador to Indonesia from 2006-2012 before taking up his post as Singapore’s current ambassador to the United States in July 2012.

The program will be $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
