Mobile Solar Training Lab Now in Missoula, Montana – See it April 22 and 23

We couldn’t be more pleased to see the first mobile solar photovoltaic installation training facility arrive in Missoula during Earth Week 2016.

With the support of the National Science Foundation http://www.nsf.gov/ , NorthWestern Energy http://www.northwesternenergy.com/ and our industry partner OnSite Energy http://onsiteenergyinc.com/ , we now have a one-of-a-kind $140,000 state-of-the-art mobile facility for training students and technicians seeking careers in clean energy.

This is the first of its kind in Montana and will allow us to compete with other solar PV training centers in Colorado and New Mexico.

Please join us on Friday, April 22nd at the University of Montana UC Commons and on Saturday April 23rd at Caras Park as we demonstrate this latest addition to the Sustainable Energy Technology http://mc.umt.edu/acet/Academic_Programs/NRGY/default.php education platform at the University of Montana.

"In 2003, I was trying to get a job as a solar PV installer in Montana and there were no jobs available to people without technical training in that specific area. But there were also no training opportunities here, and I had to take time off from my job at that time and bare the travel expense to go through a month-long program in Colorado. That was -and has been- a major roadblock for workers to what has become an economically significant industry in Montana. Now Montanans have top-tier curriculum, instructors, and the asset of the Mobile Solar Training Lab at their fingertips."
