Butte based InsideMt makes virtual reality a reality

What if you could walk among the stalactites and stalagmites of Lewis and Clark Caverns, listen to the church bells at St. Helena Cathedral or explore the depths of the Orphan Girl mine without ever having to leave your living room?

While this may seem like something out of a science-fiction novel, thanks to a technology company headquartered in Butte, people from around the world are now able to explore Montana through the use of virtual-reality technology.

The company applying the technology is InsideMt http://www.insidemt.com/ — a production company that specializes in three-dimensional virtual tours, 360-degree videos and immersive virtual-reality videos that can be viewed using a headset affixed with a smart phone. InsideMt has produced promotional content for such clients as Big Sky Resort, ZooMontana http://mtstandard.com/video-of-zoomontana/youtube_4b045a8f-e8bd-528d-9b6e-8815c7473fca.html and Museum of the Rockies.
