Absaroka Energy’s Gordon Butte project near Martinsdale could help shape Montana’s energy future
March 17, 2016 /
If and when it’s built, it will be the largest single capitol project in Montana history.
The project will feature two, four-thousand acre feet reservoirs with the potential to generate up to 400 megawatts of electricity.
Tiny Martinsdale, Montana isn’t exactly the place you think of in terms of Montana’s energy future, but a unique project within a 5 minute drive of town promises to play a key role in greening up Montana’s energy scene.
Absaroka Energy’s http://www.absarokaenergy.com/ Gordon Butte Project is a closed loop pumped storage hydro facility with an estimated cost between $800 to $900 million dollars.
