Now Accepting Students (High School As Well): Sustainable Energy Technology – University of Montana Department of Applied Computing and Engineering Technology

The Energy Technology degree may be earned 100% online with two exceptions: Campus residency is currently required for completion of ETEC 113 Circuits Lab (offered during Week 1 of the Summer Session) and NRGY 195 Practicum (offered during Weeks 2 and 3 of the Summer Session). Students with a Distance Only designation will need to fill out a Change of Status request at http://umonline.umt.edu/student/change_request.php prior to registering for these face to face courses on the Missoula College campus (remember to change your status back to Distance Only following the completion of the summer term).

The practicum provides students with a hands-on field experience in developing a novel energy technology. Students will work in teams to design, build, and test energy technologies of their choosing. In addition to promoting creativity and task completion, this course increases students’ occupational awareness and professionalism by exposing them to local energy industry leaders and giving them the opportunity to present their work to their peers.
