$30 Million in Grants available – Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers To Use Technology

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

The Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers To Use Technology Program (PT3) provides $30 million in grants to consortia to increase pre-service teachers’ proficiency in the use of modern learning technologies.

The program is designed to prepare prospective teachers to use advanced technology to ensure all students meet challenging state and local academic content and student academic achievement standards and to improve the ability of institutions of higher education to provide this preparation.

The U.S. Department of Education expects to award 75 awards ranging from $200,000 to $600,000. Deadline: June 23, 2003
