Tomorrow’s Innovators: Missoula tech communities guiding homegrown startups

As you walk up to the second floor of the University Center, you’ll run across two rooms that look like they belong in Silicon Valley or Seattle.

The Montana Code School http://montanacodeschool.com/ and Blackstone Launchpad http://www.umt.edu/launchpad/ are Missoula’s center for tech entrepreneurs. There’s computers and bean bag chairs, and the only thing that’s missing is the cliché ping pong table.

"The startup community in Missoula is not as big as Palo Alto and Silicon Valley obviously, but we’re getting there," said Montana Code School Co-founder Devin Holmes. "We’ve got some great entrepreneurs."
