Out-of-town investors take interest in Butte real estate
Representatives from the Rocky Mountain Association of Realtors say 2015 was an active year in Butte-Silver Bow’s real estate market.
In an interview with The Montana Standard, representatives said that 441 condominiums, townhouses, single-family homes and lots were sold in 2015, which is up from 2014, when 413 properties were sold. Of these properties, 423 of them were single-family homes.
The average sale price of single-family homes also increased last year. According to the association, the average sale price was $132,289 in 2014 and $145,924 in 2015, showing an increase of 10 percent. Single-family homes also tended to sell more quickly, averaging 135 days on the market. In 2014 similar homes stayed on the market for 148 days.
