Making art pay: Montana Arts Council’s Artrepreneurship Program returns

"I had never even heard of adult coloring," she said. "I Googled it and found out that it’s huge. My training helped me look beyond the immediacy of what I was doing and branch out."

That’s a story that’s repeated often from the nearly 60 Bitterroot Valley artists who have taken the class http://art.mt.gov/folklife/folklife_business.asp since its inception.

"If anyone even has an inkling that they want to do something more with their art, this program will give them the base they need," Savory said. "Now I’m doing what I really want to do. That’s a great place to be."
