Montana Career Opportunity – Billings Employment & Training Specialist – REO

Rural Employment Opportunities is a statewide nonprofit organization. We work together with more than 300 rural families as they struggle to support themselves and their families. Through REO, adults and children access and complete education, job-training and individual development programs that lead to year-round employment, improved family income and greater economic security. REO provides outreach and services in 43 of Montana’s 56 counties to more than 400 adults and 900 children.

Summary of Job Duties:

Conducts community outreach and recruits eligible applicants for the Farmworker Jobs Program and Access Opportunities; interviews new applicants and makes initial eligibility determination according to program guidelines; provides employment counseling and intensive case management services to participants; assists in the development of training and job placements; enters participant enrollment and service records in electronic participant record system; provides follow-up services; identifies eligible children for the Migrant Education program; travels throughout western Montana.
