Portland picks management team for investment fund to foster startup diversity

Portland has picked a veteran entrepreneur to manage a new, publicly financed invested fund aimed to improve diversity among the Oregon startups.

Nitin Rai is founder chief executive of First Insight Corp., which manages electronic medical records, and president of the entrepreneurial association TiE Oregon. He’s played a leading role in advocating for the state’s resurgent startup community and runs Elevate Capital, selected as the management firm for the new fund.
