Montana Department of Commerce Announces Small Business Development Center Advisory Board Members

The Montana Department of Commerce has established a fourteen-member Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Advisory Board.

The two-year appointments were made by Governor Judy Martz in January. SBDC Advisory Board members include:

Brenda Burkhartsmeier of Mountain Mudd in Billings;

Kathy Jones of Financial Information Systems in Great Falls;

Reatha Montoya of Montana Tamales in Colstrip;

Dan Killoy of the Miles City Star in Miles City;

Steve Holland of Montana Manufacturing Extension Center in Bozeman;

Joe Unterreiner of Kalispell Area Chamber of Commerce in Kalispell;

Representative Ron Devlin of Terry;

Senator Jon Tester of Big Sandy;

Maria Valandra of First Interstate BancSystem in Billings;

Toni Broadbent of Insty Prints in Helena;

Ken Green of Timberline Tool in Whitefish;

John Langenheim of Langmont Group in Bozeman;

Michelle Johnston of the U.S. Small Business Administration in Helena;

Paul Tuss of Bear Paw Development Corporation in Havre.

Members of the board include small business owners and others interested in strengthening small businesses across Montana. The SBDC provides free and confidential business counseling and training through a statewide network of ten offices located in economic development organizations. Each year, the Montana SBDC network counsels more than 1,400 entrepreneurs and existing business owners.
