Billings Gazette opinion – Montana Board of Regents may be duped (again)

Montana Commissioner of Higher Education Clayton Christian [email protected] duped the regents at the meeting, letting the presentation stand. To make a bad situation even worse, the presentation appears to have been done intentionally in order to stymie debate and cut off any possible opposition.

At their November meeting in Bozeman, the regents https://mus.edu/board/BORmembers.asp were told that a proposed new for-profit medical school was not going to be a part of the discussion. And yet, at the end of the meeting, during the public comment period, leaders from the Burrell Medical School group gave more than 15 minutes worth of "public comments."

But let’s call it for what it was: a planned, scripted presentation. Anyone who thinks differently can watch the meeting https://www.youtube.com/embed/eyDD5jGH_j8 , available on YouTube.
