With construction up in Missoula, skilled labor in demand

Seven years after the recession slowed growth in Missoula to a crawl, construction firms and developers around the city are reporting an uptick in work, and challenges in finding skilled labor.
Bill Fritz, operations manager for Jackson Contractor Group, said the past three years have seen an increase in construction across Missoula.
He anticipates next spring to open one of the busiest seasons in recent memory.
