MAPS Media Institute introducing Montana youth to business at an early age through its ENTREPRENEUR class for students 12 – 17 years old

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Founded in 2004, Our MAPS Media Institute (although a non-profit) has been an economic development engine since its inception.

A long term economic dev suggestion is introducing youth to business at an early age. In our case, our students are 12 – 17. Last year, we introduced a new class, ENTREPRENEUR.

Now our kids have the ability to conceive and create a business and gain valuable experience that can translate into effective, self-started businesses later in life.
