No buyer yet for NorthWestern buildings in Butte, Montana

"It’s a great building, it’s in great shape and it’s extremely marketable."

Butte-Silver Bow officials remain hopeful someone will buy the soon-to-be-vacant NorthWestern Energy office building in Uptown Butte so the county doesn’t have to assume ownership next year.

Marketing efforts and a feasibility analysis aimed at selling the complex at 40 E. Broadway St. have spurred interest but no purchase offers so far, county commissioners were told Tuesday night. But it’s too early to assume the property will be transferred to the county, said Community Development Director Karen Byrnes.
