Scholarships available for Business Week for teachers

Scholarships are available for Montana teachers of any grade level and discipline for the "Applied Economic Education," Business Week for Teachers, program slated for June 23-25 on the campus of Montana State University- Bozeman.

The program will cover the recently adopted economics standards for Montana schools and provide training and materials on programs such as the "High School Business Challenge," "Stock Market Simulation" and the Economics Challenge. The program begins at 2 p.m. on June 23 and concludes at 3:30 p.m. June 25. A $25 registration fee is required, but scholarships are available through the Montana Chamber Foundation and the Montana Council on Economic Education to cover the remaining costs for room and board.

Teachers may also earn one graduate credit, (BUED 588), or 15 renewal credits, which are also covered by the scholarship. BUED 500 or 588 may be repeated for a total of three credits. Teachers who have previously attended and received credit are encouraged to apply and may receive credit.
