Montana college graduate salaries released; Carroll students have best chance of early financial success, but accuracy of data questioned
September 19, 2015 /
Students can now compare colleges by how much money a school’s graduates make — sort of.
According to new data posted on the federal government’s College Scorecard website, Carroll College offers students in Montana the best chance of early financial success, with a graduate’s median salary at $44,000.
But how salary figures were compiled — and how useful they are to students — has been questioned across the nation. Median salary was calculated only from students who received federal financial aid, and salaries were pulled from tax information about earnings 10 years after students started school.
