Manufacturing Takes Center Stage At Kalispell Chamber’s Upcoming Luncheon, Sept 22

Luncheon set for Sept. 22 at Red Lion

KALISPELL, Mont. (Sept. 17, 2015)–As one of the valley’s largest employment sectors, manufacturing will be center stage at this month’s Kalispell Chamber luncheon. The luncheon, set for September 22, will return to the Red Lion Inn this month.

The luncheon will feature a panel of local industry leaders who will discuss the importance of manufacturing in the valley, address common misconceptions and speak to many of the opportunities and challenges manufacturers currently face.

The panel will include Jim Wright, vice president of operations for Proof Research; John Lowell, chief operating officer for ViZN Energy, and Bill Nicholson, field engineer for the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center. Jason Manger, chair of the Manufacturers Alliance and production manager for the Applied Materials, will serve as the panel moderator.

The September luncheon also serves as the kick-off of Manufacturing Month, starting with this luncheon and ending with the Timber Tour on October 22. There will be 21 local manufacturing and educational facilities that will host open houses, provide tours, and put on workshops for the public with the goal of educating residents and building the area’s manufacturing workforce.

The luncheon will take place at the Red Lion Inn. Lunch will be served at 11:45am, with the program beginning at 12:00pm. Tickets are $19 each or $140 for a table of eight for reservations made by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 18.
