Underrepresented: University of Montana president launches program to address gender inequality among faculty

At the University of Montana only three of the 13 deans are women, a fact that President Royce Engstrom said he plans to change with the newly created Women’s Leadership Initiative.

President Engstrom said he intends for the initiative to remedy skewed gender representation at UM during his State of the University address in August. The program will provide women with leadership training and network opportunities.

"I want to make women an integral part of our leadership team," he said.
