Missoula, Montana Based Wood For Haiti gathering lumber to help poverty stricken Haiti

Consider it a gift from the heart – the heart of Montana forests. Montana lumber is expected to help people almost 3,000 miles away in Haiti.

"The people have absolutely nothing. No government to help them, absolutely nothing, Haiti is the poorest country in the Western world right now," said Megan Bradshaw of Maternal Life International.

Volunteers with Wood For Haiti https://www.facebook.com/pages/WOOD-FOR-HAiTi/181029021962005 from Missoula arrived in Butte Friday morning with lumber to help Maternal Life International eventually build an family health office in Haiti. Wood is a scarce resource on the poor island nation.
