Kalispell Chamber announces new guidelines for parades

Participant fee and online registration instituted in 2015

The Northwest Montana Fair & Rodeo is just around the corner and as residents prepare to enjoy the festivities, the Kalispell Chamber is announcing several important changes for those considering participation in the fair parade.

Set for Friday, August 21 at 10 a.m., the fair parade is a cornerstone of the annual weeklong festivities. This year, a parade registration fee of $20 will be charged to all participants in order to help offset rising costs of the parade’s organization and facilitation. This fee will apply to the fair parade and going forward, to all other parades organized by the Kalispell Chamber. A registration is now defined as: single motor vehicle, single motor vehicle & trailer, a car club (up to eight vehicles), two motorcycles, two single horses, or a single team of horses (up to six horses pulling a wagon/carriage). Walker amounts are not limited.

Veteran groups, color guard, emergency responders, and marching bands will not be charged a registration fee to participate.

The Kalispell Chamber asks that all register online by Thursday, August 20 at 12 p.m. Register at http://business.kalispellchamber.com/events/details/2015-northwest-montana-fair-parade-11434. Additional details about the parade will also be available at this link. Registration must be submitted and entry fees paid in full prior to the parade.

Line up for the 2015 Fair Parade will start at 7:30 a.m. on 8th Street West and judging will begin at 8:30 a.m. Check-in for the parade will be held at the Flathead High School southeast parking lot corner.

For registration questions, please contact the Kalispell Chamber at [email protected] or 758-2803.
