Beer has $1.2 billion economic impact on Idaho

The beer industry has a $1.2 billion economic impact on Idaho, according to a report from the Beer Institute and National Beer Wholesalers Association.

The industry’s direct economic impact of $459 million comes mostly from beer retail and wholesale, including more than 4,600 jobs in those areas, the report said.

Beer brewing supports 278 jobs in Idaho, totaling about $10 million in wages, the report said.
