SBIR Success – Early registration ends soon for Small Business Innovation Summit Aug. 17th – 18th in Bozeman

SBIR funding helped Qualcomm get its start (https://www.sbir.gov/success-story/qualcomm-inducted-sbir-hall-fame) and led to the creation of the Sonicare toothbrush (https://sbir.nih.gov/statistics/self-reported-success#optiva-corporation) and the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner (https://www.sba.gov/sba-100/irobot). See some other amazing SBIR Success Story videos, including for LASIK eye surgery, that came out of TechLink’s recent Air Force SBIR/STTR Economic Impact study, at https://vimeo.com/album/3405683.

Early registration ends soon for Small Business Innovation and Funding Summit

Early registration discounts are scheduled to end July 27th for the Greater Yellowstone Regional Entrepreneurship & SBIR/STTR Summit, Aug. 17th – 18th in Bozeman (http://GYRES.mt.gov).

Entrepreneurs and innovators interested in business financing options, government contracting, exporting, and government grants and other funding opportunities will be able to learn from national experts and state supporting organizations. Program Managers from the USPTO, SBA, and from a dozen federal agencies managing Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, which provide $2.5 billion annually exclusively to small businesses, will describe their programs and be available to meet individually with attendees, as will representatives from Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and other major Prime Contractors.

The Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) will provide six hours of training in government contract preparation and management. Regional business executives, among the more than 100 Montana firms that have won over $175 million in SBIR/STTR funding, will discuss their business successes.

Governor Steve Bullock will be the Tuesday luncheon keynote speaker, with an introduction by MSU President Waded Cruzado. Early registration is just $40, which includes luncheon, snacks, and Monday evening social, made possible thanks to generous sponsorships. A detailed agenda and online registration is available at http://gyres.mt.gov.

Thanks again!
