Top sales jobs: One Bay Area firm’s median is $211K

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Corporate and account sales workers earn an industry average of $80,000 per year, according to a recent report from Glassdoor, but some Bay Area companies are paying much more than that.

Cisco, Symantec and Salesforce were named among the 10 highest paying companies for sales workers. Cisco employees take home the most of those three, with median total pay of $211,000. Median base pay is $93,000 and median commission is $100,000. The only company that pays more is SAP, which is based in Germany with a U.S. headquarters in Pennsylvania. Sales employees at SAP earn a median total pay of $235,000.
