There were no jokes during Jon Stewart’s "Daily Show" monologue on Thursday, but he still delivered one of the most memorable commentaries of career, this time on the shooting in Charleston, South Carolina. With less than two months left in his "Daily Show" tenure, Stewart refuses to let senioritis take hold, and we’re all better for it.

Because if you watch only one video discussing the horrendous events in Charleston, in which 21-year-old Dylann Roof took the lives of nine people at the historic Emanuel Church, let it be Stewart’s sobering reaction ("Daily Show" correspondent Jessica Williams also posted this convincing endorsement on Twitter).
