Conference looks to expand wine making in the Flathead Valley of Montana

The Montana Grape and Winery Association http://www.montanagrapeandwine.com/ is holding its first annual conference this weekend.

Industry experts and leaders are saying there are wine making opportunities in colder climates, and the Flathead Valley fits right into that mix.

Dozens of people have signed up for the all day event with organizers saying that with so few producers now they wanted to bring more people in and help spread the word.

The aim of the conference is to educate in cold-hardy grape breeding, extensive practical knowledge of hybrids and networking.
