Portland unveils city’s first ‘creative crosswalk’ in Old Town (video)

Rain drops are far from the universal symbol of pedestrian crossings.

But Portland Bureau of Transportation officials hope the city’s first "creative crosswalks" will get the attention of motorists rolling through Old Town-Chinatown.

Instead of the traditional crosswalk lines, the pedestrian installation at Northwest Davis Street and Third Avenue uses raindrops and umbrellas.
