Group in talks with Facebook, Google to bring data centers to Gallatin County, Montana

Two huge tech companies are considering opening up shop in the Bozeman area.

At a meeting Thursday of the Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District (NRMEDD) a new website was unveiled called http://www.Montanafabric.org. And its being used to recruit data centers. The district is in talks with Google and Facebook to bring data centers to this region.

For Facebook the centers, which need at least 100 acres, store old pictures and other data.

Facebook opened a center in a small town in Oregon and has put about $73 million into the local economy and created about 200 high paying jobs.
