New Wal-Mart in Great Falls, Montana to employ 300 by late next year

Wal-Mart plans to start construction later this year on a second Great Falls store at the east end of town that should open in late 2016 and employ about 300 workers, a company spokeswoman said Thursday.

"Our current store is very popular, and we see this as opportunity to serve people on the other side of town with groceries, merchandise and a pharmacy," spokeswoman Delia Garcia of Phoenix said. "We think our new supercenter can also serve as a catalyst for additional business on part of this commercial corridor that needs redevelopment."
